Earth Day 2009
Earth day is the day that people demonstrate their desire for a better and peaceful world. Dhammakaya Foundation, under the initiative of Most Venerable Phrarajbhavanavisudh - the President of Dhammakaya Foundation, realizes that the world will be better, cleaner and more peaceful when people´s minds are at peace, and it can be achieved through the practice of meditation. Moreover, 22nd of April is coincidentally the Birthday Anniversary of the President of Dhammakaya Foundation.
As a result, Dhammakaya Foundation celebrates the Earth Day every year and for the year 2009 Dhammakaya temple will organize 3 major events, which are the Ceremony of Offering Necessities to Delegations of Buddhist monks from 30,000 Temples throughout Thailand and the Ceremony of more than 200,000 Personal Dhammakaya Buddha Images Casting, in order to make merits and encourage everyone to do good deeds as well as to practice meditation.
